RSA was the first workable scheme for public key cryptography, named after the three inventors; Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir, and Leonard Adleman. It works not by being unbreakable, but by simply making cracking the cypher take far too long. In this particular instance, it revolves around the fact that whilst it is very easy to multiply two very large (normally around the 250 digit mark) prime numbers together, trying to work out those primes from the subsequent product takes an awful lot of time / processing power.



For a typical encryption system that a bank might use for its web customers, it would take approximately 3 years to crack, if all the computers in the world were put to work trying to break it.



The Second Amendment is the part of the US constitution about the right to bear arm
